Good Morning Tuesday

I am still seeing a hummingbird or two at the feeder and we are still warm here this week-high 80's and into the 90's all week, but we do have fall temperatures at night which I am liking-and then wake up to thick fog-so autumn is partially here in the Ozarks.

Last night was my first full night of sleep in a very long time-so hoping that continues. I was looking into possibly changing hospice care.  One of the staff came out yesterday. Only thing that was really different is they had two doctors on staff. The one we have now has no doctors just one nurse practitioner-which I have always avoided using. Leaving the decision up to Larry.

We are having issues with the new bed I purchased-one that lowers the front and back, and even has a massage feature, lights under the bed. Working on fixing a couple issues with it.

Yesterday morning I started marking out some lines on my patriotic scroll. I don't have to think that much when stitching this-and I enjoyed stitching on the first one. I have been too tired to work on finishing Viola's slow stitch bag.

So much to do in the flower bed areas-lots of weeds to pull-but we have had no rain-so waiting for that-otherwise I don't get the roots out. I really want to clean up these areas before winter.

I am going to call our courthouse this morning and check if they have early voting starting this week. I filled out a mail in ballot for Larry, and I would rather go in early in October while the weather is still nice to drive in. Sometimes early November is not so nice.

I have been wanting to bake some cookies-been putting it off as I need a new stove-along with other appliances. Lowes refused to deliver my order a few months ago do to my hill and steps-so will try Home Depot next time.

  Enjoy your Tuesday

  4. Hope Home Depot can do the job. There's also Wayfair ..... BUTTTT the standing freezer we got from them was smashed. However, I ended up getting it free because of that. Hope the new hospice works out well for you guys.

  5. Hi don't think there is a Wayfair in my area- don't go to malls much and the one closest is over an hour's drive away but there could be one there. I decided against changing the hospice care-I do like the two nurses we have, talked with her today-and they do have 3 doctors no nurse practioners so am good with that. someone had told me the hospice we have now didn't have doctors-found out that was Not true. So will stay with them and they know us too. The nurse this morning very helpful answering lots of questions of mine. the second person that comes in is a nurses aid-they come a different times same day and twice a week.
the hospice I talked with-use a lot of volunteers for things-I am not good leaving Larry with a stranger while I go good shopping-so will continue going early in the day

    2. That's understandable about the nurses. I think Wayfair is only online but ... I'm not 100 percent sure.

  8. How frustrating that Lowes won't deliver your order. The new hospice group sounds like it has a good deal of potential. I'm sure that stress adds to lack of sleep. You take care. As you know, caretaking is very hard.
