Last night was one of those no sleep nights. Ugh Couldn't sleep this morning either, so went back to a book I started reading-and then started stitching on the American theme scroll
I am alternating the rows with red-white-blue embroidery threads-repeat. I usually stitch in my lap on the couch-but thought I would try on the dining table. Liking it so far
When I reach an area that the row goes off the fabric edge-I stitch the row as it should be space wise and then go back and stitch down the edge with the same color thread- You can see that area on the left below the last row of pins-left of the eagle. click to enlarge for better viewing

Very cool that the new place, the dining table worked so far. Sorry about the sleep.

ReplyDeletethank you Janice-a friend wanted it and my mind went blank on the name
DeleteI had the same no-sleep issue last night!
ReplyDeleteit's rough when that happens hugs
DeleteNot being able to fall asleep sometimes happens, and I've read when that is the case that instead of laying there it's best to do something else, so you were on the right track, Kathy..
ReplyDeletethank you, sometimes reading a book will help m e sleep
DeletePlease take care. Your work is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you hugs
DeleteI hope you can sleep tonight Kathy. But nice stitching. It must be really relaxing. Sorry I missed yesterday's post but you aren't showing up in my feed, but lately it seems like people are showing up later than sooner. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeletethank you Erika, I am noticing that too-that some posts are not showing up in my feed either. will need to remember to check the posts of my friends
DeleteYou are creating another lovely piece! Makes me anxious to start something that I can sew from my chair on cold winter evenings. We should finish some hay work this week; kind of thin cuttings because of drought. Hopefully you will sleep well tonight. Reading usually puts me to sleep. Take care and enjoy these warm fall days. Mary @Hilltop Post.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Mary-always work on the ranch-hugs. I agree this project is perfect for fall and winter days. we are in a draught as well here in the Ozarks-we are very dry too. I did get a get a bit more sleep--but was still woken up in the middle of the night. took a shower early but not sure I am up to driving this morning-ugh
DeleteIt was a good idea to pick up your quilt, dear Kathy.
ReplyDeleteSending you warm regards.
Have a lovely day, and I’m sending a cheerful look across the lake your way.
Hugs from Viola
